The Door

You open the door to the world you’ve always desired
Sometimes you’re allowed to stand on the doorstep
Sometimes they let you come inside for a moment
But there’s always somebody who gives you a kick
Telling you - go back to where you come from!
The door is shut and you kneel in front of them
Begging for the person who could ask you in

Don’t look up and don’t pray
Search for the one who is hidden in the crowd

Great poem C26, my take on the one in the crowd would have to be Lucifer , who would break the Door down and storm his way in!

Do feel Lucifer is evil?

This is a very interesting poem. In many ways it appears to be the beginning of the journey, as the journey of the fool who is looking to things that are already created instead of looking internally to the one already there. Very nicely composed.

Thanks.

This poem has two meaning for me. One is personal. Second one refers to people who look for something special in life and, when they have the opportunity to reach it, they merely don't succeed or they lose it.

I like the last 2 lines you added. Not looking up might imply removing the element of sight, a sense that people tend to rely on far too heavily.
