sadness is it really that bad?
i mean if its all I ever had
i would be free from pain and torment
alone in the void where I've been sent
wouldn't have to worry about anger and insanity
waiting for the jaws of lost love to devour me
wouldn't have to worry about acting in haste
with no anger only sadness i would taste
with my sadness i am alone
be it at work or at home
the thoughts of everything i had
have abandoned me and left me sad
better sad than with anger and pain
all alone driving me insane
the emptiness in me is just fine
though my soul will never shine
i wont feel anger and hate
how this plays out I will have to wait
is this sadness really for me?
I say so it's better than agony |

The inflection of the last line was kind of confusing ("I'd say so; it's better than agony"?), but I thought it was a good poem.
But, seriously dude, having some problems lately or something? _________________ "It's a hundred and six miles to Chicago; we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses." |

I like what you said about that feeling of emptiness inside when being (permanently) sad. Very true. _________________

Depends upon if you wish it to be or not. _________________ "Weaken a bad habit by avoiding everything that occasioned it or stimulated it, without concentrating upon it in your zeal to avoid it. i would not wish anyone's life to crash down on them, mostly not mine. if the source of your strength courage and reason for existence abandoned you could you still find a silver lining? i am having a hard time with this. i know i need to find this in myself but without the "reason" i find myself empty and fragile. i need to be stronger, i know this but its hard to find that strength thru this void i have been thrown into. if it was really as easy as wishing it to be better i would have rubbed that lamp long ago. thanks lady eldorath for showing an interest. nobody else knows what i am going through, so thanks again for letting me vent a little. thanks _________________ every body looks good with darkness |

It's never easy. Forming a diamond is a tough task requiring great amounts of pressure. We can only do our best in this existance and look for each lesson as they come and try to learn from them. And you're right, we don't know your personal story so it is difficult to address specific issues per se but we're always here to listen to a good rant-we all need them from time to time. _________________ "Weaken a bad habit by avoiding everything that occasioned it or stimulated it, without concentrating upon it in your zeal to avoid it.
