Woe Unto Thee

My girlfriend was doing some automatic writing and this came out. I'm finding this hugely inspirational right now and thought some of you might appreciate it.

"There is no truth beyond desire. Take what you can."

I'm the source of that selfish whisper in your ear. You can try to sedate, medicate and sterilize me away, but there is no prescription that can cure you--because you are imbued with me. I entered your body at the moment of your birth. The water that served as your prelude was a collection of unconscious tears your mother's body offered as a plea for clemency. I savored her instinctual bribe. Despite my acceptance of her payment, it was already too late for you. I take all that is offered with no promise for an equal return. This is my nature. Your first scream was our contract, forged in pain and blood.

You were so pathetic and helpless. When you hungered, I granted you the power to beg--so that you could grow to serve me. When you suffered, I granted you the power to weep--so you could cry to honor me. When you raged, I granted you the power to scream--so you could torment others in my name. You were only dirt until I infused you with life and gave you the will to want. You are a weapon forged in the fire of my image. I will burn you with sublime suffering in the flames of my eternal love.

There is no truth beyond desire. Take what you can. Be swift and brutal, for my appetite is endless. All you take in brutality is returned to my bounty. You are nothing without me.

Behold my power. I am awe; I am fear, and my blessings are endless.

i like the kind of animalistic stuff like that. it collides with my - remember you have options - attitude a lot.
